Giving Back

Team Cobras supports the greater Denver cycling community by organizing two annual time trial series — the Karen Hornbostel Memorial Series in spring and the Chatfield Series in fall.

Team Cobras volunteers put in hundreds of hours every year to plan, staff, and deliver these two event series.

We run 10 of the 12 local time trials each year, and the majority of proceeds from these events fund local nonprofits that promote cycling and community well‑being, including:

• Colorado Bicycle Racing
• Association
• Bike Jeffco
• Lucky Bike
• The White Line (Magnus White)
• Wish for Wheels
• Hope Cycles
• Bicycle Colorado

In 2025 Team Cobras contributed more than $10,000 to these worthy organizations.

Each year our team also performs a highway cleanup for CDOT along Bear Creek Road (CO‑74) below Idledale, helping keep a heavily used cycling corridor safe and debris‑free.
